The start of the ambitious Sunreef 88 Double Deck project was officially communicated during Sunreef Yachts’ press conference at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016. After eight months of intensive work, the shipyard proudly announced the launch of this sailing superyacht with an aggressive, sporty look.
The Owner's expectations were very high from the start. An experienced yachtsman switching from a big motoryacht he decided to build the Sunreef 88 Double Deck catamaran to enjoy a more stable navigation experience and the yacht’s immense living space. A challenging and fascinating journey began for the shipyard's engineering and design teams. A journey destined to keep the promise of delivering a state-of-the art fully-customized craft.
To achieve the goal of building a seaworthy and dynamic catamaran, Sunreef Yachts' team of naval architects conceived a completely new yacht design, including a sporty version of the Double Deck superstructure. The Sunreef 88 Double Deck, as all yachts within her range features a mezzanine level inside the saloon and a spacious master stateroom with a panoramic view in the bow part of the main deck, although her superstructure was given a much more aerodynamic aspect. As a result, the 88-footer puts the emphasis both on performance and luxury, offering over 300m² of living space and an outstanding sailing experience.
Despite her slightly aggressive look, the Sunreef 88 Double Deck remains a family-friendly yacht offering the best of comfort and safety. The innovative composite superstructure of the yacht conceals a smart and functional layout with luxurious accommodations for 8 guests and up to 5 crew. Upon the Owners' request the decor of the interior features exclusively natural materials. Chambord oak, linen, leather, natural stone and quartz tiles - all contribute to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the yacht. The feeling of warmth was also achieved through applying numerous orange accents to the interior - an important color for the Owner's family, considering it to be a symbol of energy.
